David Fischer Guess my metal cred is on trial right now, as this is the first hip-hop record in my collection. Recommended by a dear friend, the gloomy beats, partly aggressive delivery and thoughtful, personal lyrical themes are exactly what I was looking for in this genre. While I consider the first half to be considerably stronger (due to the rawer tracks like Real), the whole record is worth taking time for. If How Could You Leave Us leaves you indifferent, you should get yourself checked. Unbearable. Favorite track: Real.

Matthew Skipworth Wow. To start with, I'm a metalhead, but somehow I love this too! NF's ability to increase and decrease the tension- instead of just screaming expletives is amazing. The way he expresses himself with a staccato, machine-gun rhythm makes the music so much more than 'rap'. He explores dark themes with an honest and open attitude that is also refreshing to hear from a rap artist. Totally recommended- even though I don't usually 'do' rap! :) Favorite track: Therapy Session.

Therapy Session is the second studio album from NF. Capitol Christian Music Group released the album on April 22, 2016.

On his second LP, the gospel-inspired rapper talks about coping with fame. After his debut album, Mansion, reached the top 10 of Billboard’s US rap chart in 2015, Michigan rapper NF (born Nate Feuerstein) felt intense pressure to keep his stride. He opens Therapy Session with an earnest question: "I’m back, did anyone miss me? They said the second record could be tricky.” Feuerstein is known for his raw honesty and powerful pacing, and uses this album to weigh the dark sides of celebrity (including gruesome death threats) against his gratitude. “I get emotional, I didn’t plan this,” he confesses on “Intro 2." “I’m doing things I never imagined.”
